Humans have found companionship with dogs for centuries, with the bond going beyond simple mutual enjoyment. In their own way, dogs listen to our problems, greet us each day with unparalleled excitement, and ask only to be petted and walked in return. For Tianna Tuohey, co-owner of the Bark Avenue Grooming & Bath pet salon, it’s important to take care of dogs as much as they take care of her, so it felt only natural for her to pursue this passion as a career.
“My mom loves dogs, too, so we thought, ‘Why not open a business together?’” recalls Tianna, who had previously moved from England to Canada together with her entire family in search of more opportunities. It was this willingness to try something new – in addition to close family bonds and a shared love for dogs – that led Tianna and her mother to open Bark AvenueGrooming & Bath in November 2013.
“We just want to work hard and give back to the community as best we can, in the way that we know how,” says Tianna.

Bark Avenue cut my cat in three different places and told me I needed to immediately take her to a veterinarian to fix the cuts as they were quite deep. They said they would cover the cost of the vet bills and apologized.
However, after MONTHS of emails and phone calls they still only paid of the vet cost! They never checked on the cat they cut and the animal hospital wanted Bark Avenue’s name to warn everyone not to go there.
A significant problem seems to be the owner.
I take my lagotto romagnolo there for a breed clip and Tianna, although she didn't know how to originally, investigated it and pulled it off! It was amazing, just like how he looked when we used to show! I was so impressed! Even when we walked into the shop, it felt so welcoming and didn't smell gross and stale like some places can get. I would highly recommend Bark Avenue; their grooming is superb and their customer service is amazing! I have very high standards for how my dogs look and are treated and they do it all! I take my 2 dogs there and get the full package even though of my dogs does not like anyone touching his paws. His nails get clipped and I don't have to pay extra but even better - the groomer is completely honest with me about doing a thourogh job - no dishonest like I have had in other pet groomers. Cost me a lot of money when I am told his nails were cut and then they break and another visit to the vet.
So satisfied that i signed up on yellow pages just to show my appreciation! Thank you for consistently giving my dog the best cut! I love it every time i come to pick him up! You girls rock and always received with a beautiful smile no matter how busy. Keep it up and so happy to have found you. And so is my dog! Just loves your home made treats!

Did not get the t...
Did not get the tangles I asked for out and did not cut it enough to prevent tangles. Cut very uneven. Will have to go and find someone new now because I will not return there.
