Combining the “Trin” from Trinidad and the “Bago” from Tobago, Trin and Bago’s Caribbean Roti House cooks up a fresh fusion of Caribbean flavours with a special nod to Canada. The menu features home-cooked Caribbean rice dishes with beef, chicken and oxtail. The specialty of the house is roti, the soft and chewy flatbread of India, Trinidad and Guyana, which is rolled up with a filling of spicy curried beef, chicken, fish, or a medley of fresh vegetables and chickpeas.
The restaurant also features owner/chef Kathy Alexander’s sandwiches that can’t be found anywhere else, made with Canadian bread and a Trinidadian filling. Warning, while it’s not as hot as some Jamaican foods, it's still quite spicy.
