Hi, I have just discovered this hidden gem in barrie and I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without trying the pasta here. I’ve had a few lasagnas and a lot of spinach and ricotta Ravioli and I can definitely say it was hands down the best pasta I have ever had! Id really love to give them a 5 star but my only complaint is the price and even though it might be steep you really do get what you pay for.Also recommend they go with loaf bread for the garlic bread the slices are great but I feel that the given 8 might be a tad slim and even if they have to up the price a tad for a loaf I guess thats fine as well. First and foremost we truly enjoyed our meal here. The complimentary bruschetta was a nice treat. Our server seemed a litte "put out" that we had one young child with us who was trying to figure out what she wanted as there is definitely no children's menu here, but once she decided on something we were AOK. I did call ahead to make sure they could accomodate children and they said no problem. The half portion of pasta she had was more than enough, and the chef was very accomodating. My 13 year old had the fettucini Alfredo which she orders all the time and she said it was exceptional. There was enought leftovers for her to 2 more servings at home! My husband and I had appetizers which were exceptional and we both enjoyed our meals. We also shared a half litre of wine. The chef brought some of our dishes and he was very friendly and attentive. My husband always enjoys this as he is a trained chef as well. What I noticed was that his chef whites were gleeming! This is a nice touch, as I have had chefs come to the table with dingy whites, or in one instance, looked like he had just butchered something! Overall, we will go back. Heard about a nice little Italian restaurant in Collingwood and so we decided to go for a birthday celebration. I can definitely tell you we were not dissapointed with the food or service in any way. Everyone thought the food was outstanding and we all had different meals. I wouldn't recommend one in specific because they were all so good (snuck some food from others plates just to see if everyone else's was as good as mine). Even with a fairly small menu you should be able to find something everyone likes. The only dissapointments I had is that pizza was not an option and you MUST get their first if you expect parking and even that is risky. Overall I give it a 5/5 becuase lets be honest the reason you go to a restaurant is for the food not for the parking. Read more

I stopped into Boston Pizza on a Thursday night drawn in by their board out front advertising $0.50 wings in the bar. Unlike most wing-deals these wings were very meaty and a good size. Everyone in my group was also very impressed with the service and couldn't help but notice how good looking, lively and knowledgable the staff was. Compared to the BP's that I'm used to going to in the city, this small town restaurant was VERY impressive. The staff does a good job promoting the different food/drink specials that are going on every day of the week (wings tuesday and thursday and cheap domestic beer monday night etc.). Read more

Whenever we are in the area, we treat ourselves to a slice or two. Their pizza is simple, authentic and delicious. They capture the "old world" flavours of Italy, which is something you CANNOT get at "franchise/big chain" pizza places. We are not Italian, but we certainly know how to eat pizza. We've also travelled to Italy several times (although never to the Naples area). So we're not really (culturally) qualified to judge authentic Italian food. But what we can say is: When you eat "Italian" food in Italy, it's not the same as eating food from a chain restaurant here. In Italy, food is more of a celebration. They take care to use really good ingredients that let the subtle flavours of tomato and cheese, etc really shine through. We find that chain pizza places use generally poor quality ingredients. Naples uses high quality, authentic ingredients, and you can really taste the difference. Highly recommended. Read more
