I can't understand how anyone can not like this place, or go in to expect 'fine dining' as one reviewer described. If you want a good no-frills breakfast I can't think of a better place to go in London. I've been a patron of this place for close to 4 years now and it's always been great. I rarely order from the lunch menu but anything on the breakfast menu is so decent and down to earth that it's really hard to hate. The spices on the home fries really do it for me too. Service is usually always great (at least with the server we see the most, Catherine/Catty I think her name is?) She really makes us welcome every time. I've never had any of the other problems other people have reported (charging tip without notice, mice?) The place is a slightly different place though at night when the servers and staff are different - sometimes service can be slow and inattentive. Read more

I had heard positive things about this restaurant so we thought we'd give it a try. Everything about it was perfect: service, atmosphere, service and price. We sat at a window table facing a docked fishing boat with a panoramic view of the tree line in the distance. The lady who owned the business made a point of connecting and making certain that we were happy with our meal. The server was exceptional. The portions are large so do not snack before you arrive. I find myself at this place multiple times during the week. I go for breakfast one day, lunch the next, and then for dinner another day, and I'm usually there for the nights events. They have great concerts, great food, the staff, at least the bartenders and bouncers are all fantastic and some of my good friends, and the service is more often than not fast and helpful. Just the other day after going to this place for a year and a half, had my first bad experience with service, but after mentioning it to the manager, everything got sorted out and I still had an excellent meal even though it was a bit slower than usual. And their drinks are fantastic. I've only had one bad drink there and that was after they just started a new barrel so the beer was a bit watery - I just asked for a new one and they gave it to me no problem. I can't say enough good things about this place. I never turn down an invite to this place. Read more
