Sitting atop the waters of Vancouver's Inner Harbour and just off the path of the famous Stanley Park seawall makes for great views of the non-stop urban activity on both water and land. Nestled amid the yachts and seaplanes of Coal Harbour Marina, Cardero's offers spectacular views of the local mountains and Burrard Inlet from the restaurant, pub and year-round patio. Choose from a selection of freshly-grilled fish, or try the juicy wild salmon baked on a cedar plank in a wood-burning oven. Other favourites are grilled steaks, wok squid and wood oven pizza. Sample some of the many B.C. wines-by-the-glass or the diverse selection of beer and ale as you extend your marina-side adventures in the adjoining pub. Cardero's offers a casual, upscale West Coast Menu in a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere.

Good ambiance, great service. Seafood entrees are a bit on the pricey side, but then again, it's an upscale bar / restaurant. The pub fare (burgers, sandwiches) are more reasonable priced. I had the spaghetti bolognese. One of the best I've had, but wished they gave me a slightly larger portion.
Hanging out from the seawall in Coal Harbour is Cardero's Restaurant and Marine Pub, We always seem to end up here when we have people from out of town who want to go out to dinner. They're a good restaurant but I think they benefit a lot from their location. The last time we were here we had one of the wok's and the tuna and were underwhelmed to say the least. The pub is fun and they have neat marine artifacts in there but forget about enjoying yourself if you plan on going there on a weekend evening. Its small, cramped and they put way too many people waiting for tables in there. Cardero's is a good Vancouver destination restaurant but there are many better ones out there.
